While all of the tools have their place, we find that the simultaneous focus on inventory reduction and on-time delivery can force a lean process and a culture of continuous improvement. If you have to ship on time, while cutting inventory, you'll pretty much evolve most of the other techniques on your own! Thanks for the comments.

I'm always surprised by how many people out there havent heard of Pareto for example and when they learn about it they find a whole range of possibilities unlocked! But the user need to be well awared and well trade-off which should be come or implement first to fit the firm and evironmental. We typically begin with a customer focus: <em>"How do you feel as a customer when ..."</em> The discussion invariably concludes that all customers want: High Quality, Low Cost, Quick Delivery, and On-Time all the time. In our participative demonstration, we compare a traditional manufacturer with a lean one, and ask "Who would you buy from?"
